Thanks for posting this. Mommy guilt is real and very harmful. Perfection isn’t even loveable. As long as we love our babies the best way we know how, that’s good enough…
Ladies – such a GREAT and important episode! You both shine on camera! Did anyone see Jane Fonda recently on Oprah? She was so insightful and talked about trying to be perfect as a “toxic desire” – because it is impossible. Like you said, we can have it “all” but we shouldn’t compare our definition of “all” to anyone else’s! Loved this episode. Keep them coming!
We have to set our selves up for success, not failure. You can draw a perfect straight line on paper with a pen and ruler, but can really never be a perfect person. – and if it’s true…we can only in our own eyes create our own peace and harmony.
Another great episode with really important tips to keep in mind daily! Thanks!
I’ve been struggling with this for so long… so glad to hear that I’m not alone.
We knew this topic would hit home for many women. We’re so glad to virtually bond with you! And do hope you drop the notion of ‘perfection.’ Thanks for taking time to watch!
This is seriously just an inkling of where this conversation could go. It’s all about being authentic with others and most importantly with ourselves. It’s great to know that we’re all fighting against this notion of ‘perfection’ that is defined in our own minds. Time to let it go!
